FCK v Manchester City guide
Good morning,
I would appreciate if you could have a look at the guide that the Football Supporters' Federation (an organisation in the UK that represents the interests of all supporters) has put together for the upcoming fixture between FCK and Man City.
If there are any obvious errors, or anything you think should be included, please let me know.

Likewise, if any of you are travelling to Manchester for the 2nd leg and I can be of any assistance (recommending pubs/areas to go, etc), please let me know.
Thanks,
Garreth @ FSF (www.fsf.org.uk)

You keep calling our club FC KøbenhavEn. It's called FC København :)
Otherwise you did a fine job.

My apologies, I'd obviously got the English spelling still stuck in my head. I'll change that now :)

What the hell is KCK short for?

That would be a typo and should obviously be FCK.
It's been a hard morning!

Citat:
"Brøndby IF, who are based in the west of the city"
"who are based in the town Brøndby, a western suburb"
plz :-)
Re: FCK v Manchester City guide
Oh, and the 25-øre has been abolished this fall, and Tivoli is closed in (most of) the winter ;-)
On bars: If you want to meet other tourists, stay in the inner city and the bars allready recommended. If you want to meet friendly FCK-fans, go to the many bars, pubs and clubs in the Sankt Hans Torv-area in the Nørrebro district - or around the Parken stadium in the Østerbro district.
Re: FCK v Manchester City guide
Thanks for the tips, people, the guide is being updated presently :)

This is Estonian not Finnish. Neither is anything like Danish.
Re: FCK v Manchester City guide
Hi there Garreth
You'll might want to alter the information regarding "Getting there".
Last I checked we weren't located on the Faroe Islands :o)
And also the googlemap on Kastrup Airport is way off.
Other than that, you did a very good job :o)
Re: FCK v Manchester City guide
The Faroe Islands picture is just one of our many ones that appear in that slot - it's a technical website thing that just grabs random travel type pictures from our library. Likewise the Google Earth thing is a problem that I'm aware of, but it's a technical thing and not something that I can change unfortunately. That Google Earth thing is supposed to point to the stadium, but it's hundreds of kilometers off!
I've changed the language thing, too - someone provided me with that list that I didn't check before putting it in. Silly me.
Thanks for all your help and comments, everyone. :)

I agree, a damn fine job.
Re: FCK v Manchester City guide
Hi Garreth,
A few corrections and suggestions:
Club information
The Ground is simply called "Parken", not "Parken Stadium", nor "the Parken" (the same goes for Idrætsparken). Also, the nickname is "Byens Hold" without the apostrophe, although many Danes make the same mistake.
Sidelinien.dk is run by FCKFC, the official fan club, and is as such not an unofficial website.
Main Drinking Areas
Your website states:
Citat:
Indre By, or ‘the inner city’ is where you’ll find most of the bars, restaurants and nightlife. The area is the old fortified part of the city, and many buildings survive from Medieval times.
Now, although some old buildings remain, most are more recent than that. Copenhagen was ravaged twice by large fires in 1728 and 1795, as well as suffering from heavy British bombardment in 1807, leaving much of the city in ruins. I shall refrain from a greater history lesson, which I wouldn't be capable of anyway, but should anyone be interested, the Museum of Copenhagen is a very cheap (20 dkr) experience, and will tell you the story in much greater detail.
Tourist sights
Actually, one of Denmark's and Copenhagen's main attractions is Christiania, a selfgoverning community not far from the city's centre. It's an odd mix of old hippies, younger people, music, art, leftwing politics and cannabis, but a normalization process has begun, so the municipality in it's original semi anarchist form might be gone soon. This might be the most distinct and different attraction Copenhagen has to offer.

Re: FCK v Manchester City guide
If you'd like an alternative guide, go to www.cityfan.dk and ask around on the forum. It's the website of the Danish branch of STB (Scandinavian True Blue), of which I'm a member.
I know that about 140 tickets have been allocated for Scandinavian Blues, so there's likely to be Danish Blues around who know Copenhagen.
I support both teams and will be in the home section for this one.
Hope you'll enjoy your visit!
