I don’t know how well Google translates the posts in this forum, but there has been quite a few posts about him in various threads.
In my opinion he is one of the best midfielders we have ever had. His main force is his defensive capabilities, especially his ability to tackle and win the ball. He has quite a unique way of tackling (sometimes referred to as ‘the hook’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kvwo5Y-HWrM). It is especially impressive that he doesn’t get booked more or commits more fouls, given the amount of duels he is involved in.
He is seldom injured and generally performs well in almost every match. Some performances are of course better than others, but he rarely underperforms. He does tend to make mistakes with his passing, yet it doesn’t happen very often – especially compared to when he first arrived. The best part is that he has only improved since he got here and he has become a better playmaker. I don’t think he is the best midfielder we’ve ever had, but he is certainly up there.
Don't get me wrong - he's probably my favorite player :) but recently caused 2 penalties and that was slightly upsetting. For the rest: Gladiator like De Rossi and Gattuso!
