Management of Park stadium in Copenhagen, taking note of the growing interest in American football, is looking at the possibility of hosting a major professional American football game in the near future.
Morten Andersen, a likely inductee into the American NFL's Hall of Fame, says playing an exhibition game in Copenhagen before he retires is one of his dreams, "Playing at Park would be super cool. We could also have a football camp for kids at the same time, which would give the sport an additional boost with the younger generation."
An NFL game at park is also an exciting prospect for Danish American Football Federation members, according to chairman Henrik Henriksen, who adds that a professional NFL Europe football team in Copenhagen is a possibility.
"We've been told by NFL Europe's head office in London that Copenhagen is a candidate for one of the two new teams to be added to the league," he said.
