http://www.esportsheaven.com/news/view/55346COPENHAGEN GAMES IS IN THE BOOKS, AND WHAT AN EVENT IT WAS. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY ANTICIPATED LAN'S AND PERHAPS ONE OF THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL ONES AS WELL, WITH ALTERNATE ATTAX TAKING A SECOND PLACE FINISH. AS OUR OWN EDITOR-IN-CHIEF PUT IT: "ATTAX PROVIDED THE BIGGEST LAN UPSET SINCE CS:S STARTED".
It's no secret however that people were voicing discontent with this second place finish for the German side, with numerous top level players saying that Alternate didn't deserve the placing they got, or showed personal discontent with the German team. On the forums over here at Cadred people were voicing their disbelief as well, starting a plethora of threads about whether or not Alternate aTTaX may have cheated their way through the LAN by providing some shady videos of third party software which helped the players from another device than their PC's. None of the people went as far as Epsilon star Lukas 'glaive' Rossander though. He downright accused the Alternate team of hacking in a forum thread of the gaming.dk site.
The comment by gla1ve read:
LANhack ftw. If they win more I'll bust them, just wait :). Would bet they get away with it, disgusting Germans. Organner LANcheat is apparently the new one for the Germans. PS. I can not bear people who write to me - "It is impossible to cheat on lan?" or - "You could stand behind them." If people write it to me I will be happy to show them how I can win ESWC through Smokes and fully blind + know where the opponents are outside you can see it on my screen. Fuck Germans fuck CSS. So obviously they knew when and where to shoot through smokes. Have never seen anything similar, not even VG in prime time. It was not because attax was good? They were just mega disgusting. We did not lose against a better team on the Tuscan, we lost against a team of Tuscan who sat and knew where we were and when they would take over the various things on the map. I dont care about organner doesnt work on windows 7 64 bit because they could just use any other shit. But admins are so afraid to check everything, it's so fucking insane that being afraid checking it ... I44 attax / 13-16. CPH attax /2. Unlikely. Whew am I glad they lost the final. Shame they didnt play de_wallbang 100. I'll never attend LAN again if they attend and admins do not dare to check it. Now see how we could run all other teams over. So fucking obvious. Css has now started to die. Is gla1ve just in a fit of bitter anger after his (already quite impressive) third place finish with Epsilon or is he on to something? Stay tuned to Cadred.org for the latest on the aftermath of Copenhagen Games. UPDATES: There have been some other top players joining in on the fray. Firstly another Epsilon player, Hunden, also posted a comment in the thread, hinting at evidence that Alternate aTTaX were cheating by the looks of their behavior.
Loosely translated the comment by Hunden read:
Admins checked and they found a little dot on his screen, apparently it was a little piece of rubber (?) they demolished everyone, they didnt even warm up on a dm server or wanted to get to know the computers.. they just went live as soon as we were ready. not even before the finals did they want to warm up, they would rather stand around and talk their disgusting german and then go live as soon as mousesports were ready.. its fine as long as you win 35000 without warm up Joining the Danish Epsilon players is Ruggah, who attended the event with his team Speedgaming. He joined the conspiracy theory of Danes who think the jump Alternate aTTaX made isn't just down to their practice regime.
Ruggah's statement read:
As I said to you after UB fight against them, so it seemed as if their 6-sans were totally perfect "set", the way as crystal played on CT was completely exaggerated, pushed aggressively all rounds there was nothing near him - and when it finally got something he was so defensive that had to wait 30-40 seconds. I am still in discussions with myself and the team is a mystery to me that they go from being poor to fight German players (yes, even in EPS / Intel Fight Night) to multiply the event to be top2 in Europe. IT MAKES NO SENSE! There has never been a similar example either 1.6 or CSS (unless one takes Asylum, who lived in an apartment and was boot camp every day), where such a lousy team suddenly goes from being top5 / 6 in their own country to be top2 in Europe, it smells so far away. As Dog writes, no heating in concert finale on stage to you, who the hell gamble with so much money without being 100% clear - no! See 1.6 final, which was settled shortly before, who sat ALL players and played DM or the like to be hot. Either the world's largest managers of egos and believe in themselves in the style of English, or else sit down and raw cheat the whole gang. Rak's the only player who actually has proven that he can play with the top of Germany, the rest is the onliners from the inside out. The plot thickens.. Stay tuned for more on the controversial topic!
For øvrig vild 2. kamp i går.
