Dear Beitar-fans,
As the referee blew the final whistle in "Teddy", it all became clear: FC Copenhagen is still a participant in the UEFA club competitions of the season 2007/2008.
Beitar Jerusalem and their fans, however, will have to wait for next season to pursue their European football dreams and bring the happy message of YouTube-videos and stories of the dreaded Teddy Stadium to fans of other clubs.
Had this tournament been a matter of supplying the forum of the forthcoming opponent with YouTube-links of videos showing fanatic fans singing really loud and having fun with fireworks, you would have already qualified before the first of the two legs were even played. You did a really good job at that! Please keep those YouTube-bookmarks handy for the fans of your next opponent in the UEFA competitions!
Also, it's a shame you weren't awarded any complimentary points for telling us in such detail about your home ground, "Teddy". In the event that your devoted confidence in the atmosphere of your stadium would have had anything to do with reality, surely Beitar also would have qualified without anyone having to kick a ball in the first place!
It does seem now, regretfully, that in the end it matters little with YouTube-videos and mistaken megalomania about the significance of having a partizan crowd at home.
While I certainly shall not forget to express my appreciation of having enjoyed for several weeks the delightful company of such an intelligible group of foreign fans here at our forum, I must also admit that it did provide a slight sensation of sheer pleasure to see Beitar eventually shafted so thoroughly by that very special combination of utter skill, style, and experience - the incarnation of which is known by locals as "Marcus Allbäck".
Good luck in your future football endeavours!
/Simon
